The design proposal for a new “Climate Institute” in the Dutch town of Voorburg was developed within the Building Design and Engineering course at TU Delft. Placed between the Vliet canal and a park, the building should accommodate a variety of educational, cultural and administrative functions. Office spaces, a library, archives and workshop spaces are arranged in an elevated cube organised around an east-facing atrium, which should function as the central passive climate control unit for the surrounding rooms.
