LocationDelft, The Netherlands
Korte Geer 11 was Delft's Courthouse from 1907 to the early 2000's. GearCraft is currently converting it into 16 high-end rental apartments, ranging from 25m2 to 80m2. The project aims to achieve the lowest possible carbon footprint, both during construction and operation. Kitchens and energy systems are all-electric, with 100% clean renewable energy provided by our own off-site photovoltaic farm, in Gouda. The renovation will highlight the historic value of this national monument by combining existing features and sharp modern finishing. For GearCraft, working on historical buildings is a unique but rewarding challenge.
